Sony Xperia Xa1 Phone - Notification Sounds - Help Please

Just got my new phone and set it up like my previous Xperia re. sounds but one thing I cannot fathom!

1. Set up ringtone no problem

2. Set up sound under 'notification sounds' and that gives me a sound for text messages and any notifications which appear at top of screen - is that correct?

My problem is the sound for my GMails. There is a different sound when a GMail appears but I do not remember setting this up and want to change it but it only shows ringtone and notifications in sounds! Is it done thru the GMail app or how?

Thanks again for helping out Buenchico. I followed the instns in your link and it worked!

I have now changed the notification sound on my G Mail to a more noticable sound
