I have an Epson XP215 and have just replaced all ink cartridges but when using black only the top half of any rint appears. If I need to copy anything important I copy and paste the letter and then change the colour of the text to eg blue or puple and that gives me a copt that I can see.
I have cleaned the heads and realigned and spent ages trying to get the black to work.
Please anyone there who has had and solved this problem
Photocopying is no better.

I would try replacing the black ink cartridge.

I have always used compatible cartridges in the Epson printers I have owned over the years – that way I don’t have to ask my bank manager for a loan whenever an ink cartridge needs replacing.

Thank you and just back and have replaced the black in cartridge although had just put a new one in and it has done the trick. As it had been a new one did not think that was the problem so alls well now and thank s again
