I have a xp pc and a Jaguar mac on a network,They are sharing a internet connection and iI have no trouble sharing my mac music files with the pc.The problem comes when trying to share the pcs music folder as windows help is far inferior than the macs. The music folder is large so copying it is not an option. Any ideas?

make sure that the filetype (the .wma or .mp3's ) on the pc are compatible with the mac.

they are mp3s and so are compatible but thats doesn't help the problem is that just sharing the folders from windows is not enough i can not find any information on how to have access to the files ie run them through itunes as they do not show up the same way as they do when shared with another pc.I have previous had a pc to pc network and as a mac user i am well aware of which file format can be used on both. although i am gratful for your response it didn't actual answer my question.
