Social Media Issues On Mobile Using Wifi

My daughter is having issues signing into any of her social media with her mobile via wifi. Google etc works with no issues so the wifi is connected. She has tried rebooting the WiFi and also tried the usual get around on her phone, I.e. switching airplane mode on and off, switching the phone on and off etc.
Being 200 miles away I cannot check matters myself. What else should she try? Could her ex housemate, who recently moved out (amicably) have inadvertently put any protection on the wifi?

You seem to have already tried most of the things that I'd normally suggest but it might also be worth checking that something like 'battery saving mode' isn't enabled on the phone.
