have a look at google, I searched( "nokia 6630" +unlock) and theres 1,000's of sites - having had a quick look though, it looks like they cant be unlocked as yet (although there are people offering this for a fee?) Good luck

alunrw,yes its a nightmare I spoke to orange(customer service) apparently they can do it,they have to send request to nokia but it will take three weeks & they will charge 20 pounds,but I cant wait I am going overseas.

Have you tried http://www.piczo.com/unlockster?g=13242379&cr=2 ? I've never used them but they have been recommended for unlocking the 6630. Let us know how you get on because I'd like to unlock my 6630 as well.

GadgetTak, Yes I emailed them & they emailed back to me saying that they have unlocked nokia 6630,you have to download some software for 10 pounds but no guarantee.
So I dont want to take a chance I think the best thing is get it done through your network,my one is locked to orange they are charging 20 pounds which is reasonable but you have to wait 3 weeks,they have to send request to nokia.

My 6630 is also locked to Orange. Orange refused to do it for me. I also asked Three who I have a contract with, they said they didn't know how. I also asked O2 who I have a PAYGO account with, they said they couldn't. The only provider who said they could was T-mobile but you have to have an account (contract or PAYGO) with them and they will unlock it for you. Cost �15 and takes 28 days to send you a letter with instructions.

Actually I bought it for someone as a gift,taking it overseas & I am flying out today,I will come back & sort it out with orange.If I had known I wouldn't have bought this phone.Because I have no time to sell it off.
