Computer Insurance.

My personal home computer has been destroyed by an electric power surge. Would the contents section of my household policy cover this or is this an act of God /

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As the Cowboy says, if its your power supply thats been damaged they are quite cheap to replace - mine blew up (flames etc. coming out of the back) and t cost me less than �25 all in to get it repaired.
As regards insurance, if you have "all risks" cover then it would probably be covered, but each company has its own exclusions, so worth checking the cover.
