You will find it in the Microsoft apps store or. Go to settings.
Windows pane or Key. Select the Settings cog. Select "Apps and Features. Then look for the "Optional Features" header (maybe in red)
Media player should be listed there. Have you checked whether you have it in your apps list first? It may only need enabling.
Just a thought. Windows media player is only available in W11 for build 22000 and after. You may have to do an upgrade first if you have not been running them or you could try to load it straight from here.
Morning Barry. I had "Media Player" installed when I upgraded to 11. I think it was because it was there for previous builds and it just transferred. It appears that if you bought a machine with 11 already installed, and it is an earlier version then Media Player is missing.
Thing is Barry, I suspect that the all new 11 version, which only works on a recent 11 build, is quite an improvement in some ways. I am going to have a look at the advantage in doing a clean install of the new version on my 11 capable set up later. Interesting. Would you believe that the original Media Player was released in 2013? Seems like yesterday that I was fighting it off from taking over all my music sites. Did you find it and install it LaMandolina?

Forget that. The first working version on general release was out in 1991 on W3. Plus if you are looking for the "New" player you need to search for Groove in the windows app. store. All here.
