I have just made a purchase and I have to prove that I have funds before the transaction can be finalised.

I have to upload documents showing financial and identity details. I have managed to get all but the financial ones to upload but the 'upload' button just keeps whirring around. I have logged out etc and it still won't upload

Is there something obvious that I have managed to screw up?

PS it is a legit transaction

Is it your broadband that's having evening rush capacity issues ?

Otherwise are these files particularly large ? That may cause issues at either end.

OG - I still work in inches and pounds.
What is a 'large' file?
Question Author
I did switch my other computers off as I thought that was the problem.
Depends.
Compared to the files that went ok, I mean.
It's the rest if the neighbourhood getting back from work and turning their PCs onto the Net that I suspect of causing issues on cheaper ISs.

I have 200 somethings worth of broadband and usually have no issues on my laptop. My kindle, used on the upper floor via wi-fi sometimes has problems at this time of day. I live in the city centre.

I really need to get this done.
What type of files are you trying to upload?

When asked if the files are large, it means the file size
The number of gigabytes you are entitled to doesn't help if no data are actually going. Unsure I have more suggestions than the two areas highlighted. You could try sending a smaller file and see if you have any success.

It is the size. The previous files were 1.4mb and it is trying to upload 44kb. I can never remember which one (mb or kb) is larger.

I'll try tiddling with them ... but I might be back.
M (mega) is much larger than k (kilo).

It seems larger files went. One wonders how you local broadband is this evening.

I've wimped out and sent it all to little brother. I am in Perth and he is in Nottingham, Surely both of our broadband can't be f**ked.

I need to finalise the sale (of a flat) tonight.

I'll update you once he gets back to me.

Finished!!

I would never have solved the problem.

It was something about me leaving gaps in the file names. I never see them as file names - just hints as to what the photo is about.

I can now go to bed and start my packing tomorrow.

Tnanks
Well done Wolf. Sleep well now :-)
