Mobile Phone Booster.

The transformer that came with my EE mobile phone booster has broken diwn. The booster requires 5v at 2 amps. I have an old BT transformer that does 12 v at 1500 mA. Would this work the booster? I’m lost! Happy New Year to you all! Bramley

No, the correct voltage is important.
USB sockets, like those on your computer, usually have a 5V power capability. If you can get a USB lead that will connect to your booster that might provide enough power, otherwise mains to USB gimmicks are available like this:

That's only 1 amp, bhg - it won't drive a booster.
