Forgotten Password Help Please

Any idea how I get can back into my laptop.

I've forgotten the password as I seldom use it.

Any idea how I can reset it please. It keeps telling me my password is incorrect please try again. No option to reset it.

As you rarely use it, is there anything on there that you can't afford to lose?

You'll need a piece of software to fix this for you. Basically, you download the software onto a computer that you can log into, and use it to create a password reset disk on a USB drive or a CD/DVD. Then you boot the inaccessible computer from this disk and follow the instructions. This one works well:

how can you use the laptop/comp to "how to log in" when you can get in to start with, the questionnaire cant get in to change or access anthing,ive been i that situation once decades ago and had to reinstall windows xp (at the time) but had docs /photos on back up

Thank you for helpful info.
After getting in a tis I gave up in frustrating. Lay awake in the night and remembered I had a note book with PC info..there was a list of old passwords . Tried then until the right one worked
