Superfast Broadband Installation.

Hi,
I will soon be having an engineer call from Plus net to install the above. I assume he will want to fix the terminal through the wall on the ground floor, but my PC is situated upstairs in my 'office'. It is currently plugged into a normal phone socket in an upstairs room via a phone line extension lead. But how will it work with the new set-up, I cant move my PC downstairs!

My solution was a pair of powerline adapters - an ethernet cable from the router to oneplugged into a nearby socket and another ethernet cable plugged into the computer and the other adapter. There is a great variety of adapters available; different speeds and with/without mains passthrough if you have a shortage of electrical sockets. Another option is to fit a wi-fi card to your computer which is very simple to do.
