Problem With Laptop

I can't access any sites on laptop..just keep buffering, then I get message " can't reach this page...www.bing took too long to respond....Google says connection was reset

Try turning your router and your laptop off. Turn router back on, wait for around 15 minutes then boot up your laptop.

No, that hasn't worked..still keeps buffering the message" can't reach this page . www.bing.com took too long to respond ..tablet is working ok though .

Are you saying that every time you try to access any site it tries to take you to bing?

Yes ..small box at top left hand says new tab, then bingsays bing ..

I've uninstalled Bing bar but no difference.

Try a different browser, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, slimjet…loads to choose from

What is the network connection status of the laptop? It sounds like there's no internet connection.

Etch..the Network is connected.

Have you investigated the possibility you have a browser hijacker of the type described at my link above.
That seems quite possible.

If you run 'Network troubleshooter' what does it report?

Thank you everyone for your help..in the end I did system reset which seems to have worked.
