I'm wanting to insert a pdf file in a word document but when I select "Insert" then "Object" the choices I get are "Object" and "Text from File"."Create from file" function not showing and this is the suggested function needed.

Is there a simple way to add the "Create from file" function? If not how to insert a pdf file without that function?

TIA

I don't know how you are 'supposed' to do it but I have copied and pasted a PDF file into Word. It might be worth a try.
have you tried going to "help" in word, typing in insert PDF then using the "take me there" option?
i dont even seem to haave insert object, unless i do it tht way
Select Object and in the next window select Create from File
Bigfellah stated in the OP that 'create from file' is missing when he clicks 'object'.
I am stumped
Yes as in the link, when you select Object in Word you get 2 options Object (again) or Text from File. if you select the Second Object option you will get the Create form File option
