Pops(84yrs old) has Sky Q with Sky Sports and BT sports for £107/month.
Is there a cheaper way he can get SkyTV/Sports and BT sports ?
He has no broadband at the minute but does have a landline so could add broadband.
Was thinking of the Sky Stream/Glass but looking through the options seriously gives me a headache.

If he got Sky Stream he could have both Sky Sport and BT Sport for £71 a month which includes basic Netflix.
If he wants to watch on more than one tv it will be an additional £12 a month

Additionally, as you point out he will need broadband, the cheapest Sky offers is £17 a month but of course he can get broadband from anywhere.

Sky Glass includes the cost of the tv, so if he is happy with the tv he has I wouldn't bother looking at it.

So the cheapest Sky and BT sports package on one TV will be £88 a month including broadband.

Another option might be the Now box but I suspect that might soon be discontinued.
If he lives in a Virgin area he can get the package for £65 a month but be aware that is for the first 18 months only - the price will be £122 thereafter

barry....I stand to be corrected, but I thought that BT sport on the Now Channel is only available to costumers in N.Ireland and not in England.
You could be right, I didn't look in to too deeply because I think it will soon be discontinued as it is owned by Sky and Stream is the replacement
