Windows 11 ... Help!

My laptop has now updated to Windows 11 and a few things have changed - much to my
annoyance. However, the one thing that is getting on my nerves is the location of the taskbar.

I like the taskbar to be at the top of the screen but now it is at the bottom of the screen. I have right-clicked on the taskbar, tried to change settings etc and even dragged the blasted thing to no avail.

Is there a solution?

You can get it to the side with settings:

....but to get it to the top you need to use regedit.

Basically windows 11 has declared war in the top task bar, you can still have it but it's a bit of work. I don't know how you can possibly want it at the top but each to their own!

It's simple. Like many other businesses and organisations, Microsoft employs a 'development team'. If they don't find something to 'develop', they'll all be out a job. So they keep changing things (most of which never needed changing in the first place), just to keep their jobs.

Yes, chico is correct, companies like apple and microsoft are like sharks, if they don't swim they drown. To maintain their value they must continually earn by developing.

The taskbar in our Oxfam computer is at the bottom of the screen and I do manage to work it okay so I may get used to it.

There are a few other things that have changed, but I suppose that I am going to learn to live with the changes.
