I Have Freeview Digital Tv

It all went off last night, no signal, nothing, this hasn't happened before to my knowledge. Is it the transmitter ? What's to be do e ?

Google whether the transmitter in your area is down. Any friends or neighbours experiencing the same thing?

Also try switching the power off for a few minutes and then on again. See what happens.

Check that you've not accidentally pressed something on the remote control. (If, for example, you pressed the 'Source' button, you might have changed it from 'DTV' to 'HDMI1' or similar).

Ask your neighbours if they're also experiencing problems.

Check your aerial is firmly connected

Power been off. I can't see on Google any transmitter problems, haven't seen any neighbours

Switch off at the mains, not just into standby.

Done all these things, to no avail the freeview chat person was less than useless. Doesn't appear to be transmitter down. It has to be the box outside that holds all the wiring

Does it need retuning? An older TV of mine told me today that new channels were available and to retune.

No it doesnt need retuning as I said, thete no signal at all.

Do you have a shared aerial - as I’m not sure what box of cables you mean.

You could try a portable aerial- bit fiddly to line up, but it would rule out a fault with the tv.

My kitchen tv freeview tuner packed up, so I use an external freeview box for it.
