I acquired a Blackberry 7100v from a friend who upgraded which was tied to the vodaphone network, but unlocked to all networks as I am on O2.


I bought the data tarriff from O2 in order to use it and now have net access, but want to be able to use the email bit. So I went to the o2email website to set up my email account and I have to type in the IMEI number and the pin. On doing this, a message pops up saying that the pin and IMEI are already assciated with an account in their system. Now, I'm almost sure this isn't the case as the person I bought it from had it on Vodafone so these details can't have been used to an o2email account already.


On the suggestion of the website, I contacted the helpdesk who were absolutely no help whatsoever, so wonder if anyone else has any experience of this, and how to solve the problem.
