Paste On Desktop Windows 11

When I copy something to paste onto the desktop, it always drops the pasted item onto the top left corner of the desktop.

On our older computer it pasted the item where I clicked the word paste.

Is there any way to change it back so that the pasted item drops onto the desktop where I click paste?

Can you just move the pasted item?
