Good afternoon experts,
Having purchased a rechargeable battery 6V 4A I now need to recharge.
I have located a 9V 300mA, a 12V 500mA, a12V 1A. Can I use any of these without mishap?
The battery is presumably a 6volt 4Amp-hour one and, yes, it can be charged witha 9volt charger...but only if you know what you are doing and can monitor the charging closely. For most people the answer is...no, don't do it, you'll probably end with a useless battery.
Charging circuitry can be very delicate, and an incompatible connection can render a device useless in less than a second. My recommendation is to:
1. Find your battery online

2. Determine what charger it's usually sold with
3. Decide if something you've located is sufficient (you may realize you will soon be upgrading to a high-performance charger)
