got my house lovely and clean today but they were two sisters - one worked upstairs and the other downstairs.

 

I had a plug/charger for my Alcatel tablet in the kitchen socket and now it is gone.  

 

I know what has happened - they have tidied up after cleaning and the plug is gone.

 

I know this because they have naturally enough put things away "their way" cos I am finding other wee bits and bobs.

 

If I order one about a fiver - I don't know what to ask for?  thanks for any answers.

Have you already got a charger that you can unplug the cable from?

If so, any Type C cable will do, like this Amazon.co.uk User Recommendation

No Barry - that was the only charger I have - don't have a lot of techie stuff.  Anyway went and ordered what sort of looked like mine - ie charger and cable.  Went to pay for it and it doesn't deliver to Northern Ireland.

You don't have a charger for your mobile phone or Kindle?  I'm sure you said you have an eReader, maybe I got that wrong

sorry do have those only about 2 and yes I have tried both - won't fit

But can you pull the cable out of the plugs, Jenny?  Nearly all my chargers have removable cables so that I only need to take one on holiday and plug the different cables in to it

That's a nuisance, JennyJoan, and is one of the reasons why I hate having anyone in my house, for any reason, whether workmen, cleaners, or even some members of family. 

If you look on Amazon for charger for alcatel tablet you should be able to find what you are looking for.

LOL at you Ringlet - boy you are right in finding things.  Found a small shovel and brush under the sink.  Medication (bags of it) taken away from its usual place and put into cupboard - she did tell me about that - 

 

About to have a bath and haven't I found a big cable extension - you know for short cables for vacuums - it's upstairs in the hotpress with the towels etc and it is always downstairs in a cupboard.  

 

I never realised this confusion but I would still get them back.

 

Now for some more hideyholes.  That's probably where it is

Have you tried pulling the cable from the charger?

i have pulled out the cables but the phone one narrowly misses fitting in to the tablet

^some chargers have cables that can be removed, others have them fixed. Don't yank on the latter!

I don't think I have explained it very well.

The two chargers you have don't fit your tablet but you might be able to unplug the cables from the charger units, so in one hand you have a cable without a plug and in the other you have a plug without a cable.

If you have a charger that comes apart like that you only need to buy a cable with a USB connector and one end and a Type C connector on the other

barry sorry for your confusion - it was both plug and cable.  I never ever took the cable out of plug - just left it hanging on.

I know you can't find the plug and charger for your tablet.

But the chargers you can find - does the cable unplug from the plug with either of them?

just wanted to let you know that I ordered a new charger and guess what neighbour was in and seen a wire hanging from the top of the kitchen cupboard and there was the old charger.

 

I did contact the new seller and they will refund me.  I knew that would happen.  Who in the name of God puts plugs on top of kitchen cupboards.  my cleaner did LOL
