Did anyone buy the Technika DRM Compliant ML-2 256MB MP3 Player - (Black) from Tesco in a sale online at Tesco Direct ? I got mine this moring and and it came with a USB cable as well as the headphones and battery. Whats the little USB cable for since the MP3 player doesn't have a socket for the USB cable ? Strange, as the player only runs on batteries. Is it just as spare ?

How do you get the mp3 files on to the mp3 player if not via the USB cable?

The MP3 player has a USB plug in-built. Its covered by a cap that can be taken off and plugged in the pc. But whats the USB cable for ? thats what bugs me ? cos obviously the player only runs on battery and is not charchable. Maybe the player is chargable but I can't seem to find the socket on the player for the USB cable to be used ?!

Do the instructions show a diagram of the mp3 player and show somewhere where you can plug it in? Or does it say there is supposed to be a usb cable included?

If its got a built in plug then I can't see any need or use for an additional cable?

Instructions doesn't mention anything about the bloody USB cable. Oh well, i have a spare USB cable now...

Is it an extension USB cable. I have several plugged into the back of laptops and PCs and just plug my USB device into the cable instead of scrabbling around at the back or on the floor. These work fine with no apparent loss of speed etc.

One end will be slightly deeper than the other to fit the USB plug.

As previously stated its an extension cable, on my computer I have to use an extension cable for most things run by USB due to the small opening around the USB socket, A lot of the new gadgets available now were not around when they first put USB slots on computers thus needing an extension cable now.

Yes, sorry, i realised its just an extension cable...duhhhhhh.... :) I just got kind of mixed up by thinking if the player runs with batteries and without it using the cable to charge it.
