I have a document that is only "hard copy" I want to scan it , I have Acrobat 7.0 Standard, after scanning it and making it an pdf, I want to edit this document, and put save it as a word doc. Is there a way to edit it in word afterwards or something I should do either by with my scanner or in adobe to make this possible?
Second question is how do you use acrobat to create a form letter that you can send someone and have them beable to fill in the form while still keeping the rest of the document from being edited...do you catch my drift?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.When you scan a document it becomes a image just the same as a picture and you can't edit it as such, However many scanners come with OCR (optical character recognition) software which will scan the hard document and convert it to actual text, it is not perfect and will often have many mistakes in it but it does give you a real document which can be edited. Check out if your scanner driver CD has this on it. otherwise maybe you can find a friend with a scanner that can do this.
Your second question is answered completely in the Adobe Acrobat help and in much more detail than I can give here.
