Ebay - Asking For Personal Info......

Most of the time if you ask a seller a question it just gives you a box to type your question in. Sometimes though it seems to want you to fill in Name, phone, email etc. Any idea why that would be? I may have asked this before but I don't think I ever got the bottom of it. I googled etc but all I get is advice when the seller actually asks for those things. Thanks

Does it depend whether you're logged in to Ebay or not ?  (If you're logged in, this info will be available)

Yes I'm logged in but it hardly ever asks for that info when I do "contact seller" to ask about an item.

Is the item collection only?  Scam prone?

Well it is, it's a car, it's not a scam no one contacted me I am just asking about a car, like I have done a 100 times before.

I meant is the item the sort of thing that attracts scammers, such as iPhones.

Right, I see, classifieds adds seem to have this. I got round it by doing contact sellar but not about a particulatr item then I asked abut the item in the message box! Cheers baz!
