My hard drive was upgraded by the computer guys and they gave me the old one as standby, telling me I'd need a "reader" to access it. Given advice I bought an External sata hard disk enclosure (reader). I wanted to copy some progs from the old hard drive to my PC and everything seemed OK but drive "E" or "F" etc don't come up when I connect via USB cable. How do I transfer progs from the "reader" to my PC. Thanks in advance

have you tried another usb port, and tried it on another laptop or pc, does the drive show up in disc management ?

You probably haven't taken ownership of the drive yet:

^^^ Start the video and then click on the 'full screen' icon, in the bottom right-hand corner, in order to view it properly.

Can you not download the programs from the appropiate websites?

hi guys. I've tried all USB ports. It is not videos,it's programs. Where is disk management hiding in windows 10 and you would need to be an expert to follow the video about taking ownership. If someone could give me idiots guides to the above points ,that would be great.

Type disk management in the box bottom left of your screen.  It will pop up
