Freecycle Emails
Suddenly not coming through automatically to my email, I have all the boxes ticked... could there be something wrong with my email? I sent an email to myself as a test and it came through.

The Freecycle email system can be rather erratic at times. I'm a moderator and I'm meant to get an email every time that a poost is put on hold, awaiting a moderator's approval, but it doesn't always happen!
Firstly, check your Spam folder to mak sure that the emails haven't ended up in there. (If they have, mark them as 'Not Spam' and then add Freecycle to your Contacts list).
Otherwise, try removing the ticks, logging out, logging back in again and then replacing the ticks. That simple twist on 'turn it off and turn it on again' often seems to work in such situations!
>>> " . . . I have reported the email problem to Freecycle"
Let's hope that the system is working for them though! I've just responded to two 'Contact Moderator' comments on Freecycle, which I should have been notified about via email but it never happened. (I only found them by going into the 'Moderator Tools' section of the site. One was only a day old but the other one had been sitting there for 4 days. The relevant members must think that we moderators aren't doing our jobs properly but it's actually the Freecycle email system that's regrettably very unreliable).
Just a thought:
The 'removing the ticks and then replacing them' trick might actually have worked. If it has, I wouldn't actually expect any missing emails to appear (as Freecycle's server probably never sent them in the first place). However any future emails should then show up.
So it might not be until tomorrow when you'll know if the emails have been 'switched back on'.
