Background On Facebook Posts.

I want to put a coloured background on an advert on a Facebook page..I click on the coloured square I want, it says write something on it but when I start to type colour goes & I'm just left typing on ordinary page..can anyone help please?

You can only use a coloured background for short posts.

You could create the advert on your pc and post it on FB as a photo.

on an advert you say i dont know about the advertising but if you want to have a happy birthday background thing then you cant write much else it turns into a normal post again

I've seen other posts with coloured background on my village hub but I click on colour I want, message says write something but then I lose the colour..on tablet.
