I got a message about this product, inviting me to have my disk scanned with a view to cleaning it up and fixing system errors etc. Is it any good, as it costs �35 or thereabouts?

I wouldn't. Some of these products do more damage than good.

Don`t go for the free scan.It inserts dialers (and other unwelcome stuff.on your PC which are very hard to get rid of.In fact,I bet you get the offer to scan quite regularly.You will need a program called FixVundo to remove it.If you do accept the free scan ,you will have to pay the 35 quid to remove the software,anyway.you probably got the original by clicking on something which looked very like an official pop up from Microsoft.
