Is Anyone Else Having Problems With Windows Update

Just lately every new update seems to be dragging on for ridiculous amounts of time and using all the resources so you cant continue doing your own stuff. I have a lively laptop and ultrafast wifi and still it goes on.

W10 updates are a nightmare - they freeze (my) computer for what seems like ages without even the courtesy of telling you what they are doing.

Ah. Reminds me. I must check if my PC and my woman's computers need updating. All this "unsuitable for W11" stuff seems more like enforced obsolescence to me.

Mine updates overnight, I only get a message that it is scheduled

Its Win 10 Pro on an i7, 32gb ram, 1tb hhh 11% full and wifi 6 with ultrafast wifi. All drivers and updates up to date.

Presently trying to update desktop and laptop. Expected laptop to be slow because it's no spring chicken, but turns out both devices keep failing and I have to get them to retry. Doesn't seem like MS is trying very hard.

crapat - will your setup take the upgrade to W11? (mine won't)

No 11 on this machine they claim it wont run it but I got it to install and run but they wont give you updates.

I've checked all my Windows machines and they all updated okay
