Vice President Vance has launched an attack on the UK in the way free speech is being stifled. Also on his list was the way we are allowing so many unvetted immigrants into the country. Is this somebody talking on behalf of the majority of citizens?

does it? i feel truly grateful that i am not american. one of my siblings is an american citizen and i consider myself to have dodged a bullet there. whatever problems this country has it is so much worse over there in my view... and mister vance is part of the problem.

Not just the UK, but the EU too.

And he is pretty much correct.  The UK is becoming a terrible place to live with free speech all but gone and it will only get worse as blasphemy laws and others are enacted to curtail any discent from the public.

So he bangs on about freedom of speech, yet his gaffer has barred any members of the press association entry to the White House for sticking with The Gulf Of Mexico, as opposed to The Gulf Of America.

The anti Trump press are trying to provoke him and he has responded, so not so much free speech stifling  but hadbags at dawn.  Both sides as bas as each other.

My opinion...as an American?  Let's just say it's not a place I'd want to live in now. Free speech will soon be a thing of the past there...kettle and pot comes to mind unfortunately. As for immigration, that's a worldwide issue.

and Vance took the view that saying the election was stolen  and they won it was a matter ofr free speech
