Broadband subscription

My tiscali broadband contract is coming to an end soon. I pay �15.99 monthly and I have enjoyed their service. But is there a cheaper and very effective alternative? I guess I have seen Bulldog broadband advert for some ridiculously low monthly payment. How true is this? If not bulldog, any other good one?

Wherever you go, if you choose a new one make sure that when you sign up you make it clear that you're "migrating" and you'll save yourself the �50-60 activation fee that everyone (apart from virgin.net) charge up front.
virgin.net, incidentally, charge this fee only if you cancel your subscription with them before the 13th month.
