long exposure on a 'pocket' camera

looking for a digital camera that i can change the shutter speed on to do long exposures but ideally not a SLR camera as they are too big. something that could fit into my pocket.

As far as i know, and i may be wrong, the only non slr digital cameras that have manual shutter control will be rangefinder cameras and they tend to cost as much as slr cameras.
If i find one that does i will answer.

I was wrong!
It seems that Sony Cybershot have manual exposure - across the range aswell it seems.
They also have Carl Zeiss lens aswell -which is nice.

beeen loking at the rangefinders, they are much smaller and lighter than slr cameras. hard to find a digital model though. its nice to see the look of a slr camera still in the digital version. will keep looking, thank you for your help gary

All the makers of rangefinders now do digital versions (Leica, Voigtlander etc) but they are very very expensive (dont know how much you have to spend) - nothing less than �1000.

Hi lttle bum, even my humble Canon S50 has the facility for timed exposures.
