I have the same problem as someone else previously asked about:

'someone sent me a link (www.block-checker.com) which apparently allows you to see if anyone is blocking you. Stupidly I clicked on it and now everytime I talk to someone it displays it's annoying little advertisement message!! How can I get rid of it?'

Advice was given to remove the program by going into add/remove prgrams however the program blockchecker does not appear on this list on my computer. I also have spybot and have run the program several times and it has not detected block checker. How can I get rid of this and all the other adware/spyware on my computer?

Hi

I would use system restore and restore your system back to the day before you installed this programme.

Question Author
How do I do this and also it happened months ago- doesn not knowing the date matter (will i be able to search for when the program was installed?)

Hi

Go to start, help and support and select system restore. You must choose any date prior to installing this programme. Unfortunately, I cannot help you on the date but by trial and error you can keep restoring the system until it disappears. Hope this helps?

and just so you know, the likely hood of system restore working is minimal. better off trying to pop a packet of crisps and spraying the contents over your hard drive in the hope of scratching the section where the block checker lies. windows system restore is crap
