I just purchased a Crucial 512mb USB Flash Drive 2.0 Gizmo. Is it possible for me to set a password on the flash drive so that the content of the memory stick can not be viewed or accessed without entering a password?

Most usb flash drive come with a little executable program that you can use to protect files on the drive. Check the CD that came with your drive to see if it has some software on it.
Just checked and it appears the crucial ones don't come with either a driver cd.
If you use WinZip, you can compress the files and set a password for the entire files archive
