on the start menu of xp there is an icon for My Documents and My Music. can anyone tell me how to get an icon there for My Recieved Files or My Pictures?

RIGHT click on the word Start and choose Properties.


Click the Customize button.


Click the Advanced tab and you can choose which objects you want on your Start menu.

You can add ANY folder or icon to the Start menu as follows.


Suppose you have a folder on your desktop.


RIGHT click on the folder and hold down the button and drag it over the word Start. The start menu will appear.


With the mouse button still held down, move the cursor over the Start menu to where you want the folder to go and just let go of the mouse button.


The folder (or icon) will be added to the Start menu.
