dvd recorder with hard-drive

Hi I am looking for a dvd recorder with intenal hard-drive must have a i.link for my camcorder will pay approx �300,thanks

Look at the LG RH7500 (80GB) about �250. Now also have RH7800 (160GB). I bought the RH7500 and like it a lot. Some would go with Panasonic. Sony are very good but check for Firewire connection for camcorder (if DV).

You could alway's go for the liteon 5045 with 160gb hard drive and multiformat write with firewire connection.............

Thanks wideboy but I am not to sure about LG gear I have always bought sony/pano/pioneer, call me old fashioned.

..Don't worry 'bout LG les...a huge modern firm setting a great standard for quality gear...remember sony/pano/pioneer were new at one time..........commoner.

LG is now one of the biggest companies in Japan (Hong Kong?), it featured on the telly recently.

PS. It is quite easy to upgrade the hard disc to any size you want (eg. 250GB) - once out of warranty.

PPS. I have doubts about the quality of Liteon DVD recorders, a friend had a problem with the Firewire connection but if peanut42 has any experience of the machines .........?

Today's paper has Currys doing a Panasonic with HD and even has an SD memory card slot - just under �250.
