headphone socket on tv

recently bought a tv/dvd combi and there does not appear to be a headphone socket on it am i missing something surely in this day and age thats standard?

New monitor causing dvd playback problems - please help

Sadly not, some TV's thesedays just don't come with a headphone socket.

If you have an audio out socket you could buy a convertor that will let you plug a set of heaphones into that...if not then sorry :-(
