Starting a business

Hi,
I am looking to get a private hire taxi on the road and also offer airport runs. I am going to have 2 drivers drive for me and so will be keeping my day job. What I don't want to happen is my wages to be taken in to consideration with earnings from the taxi and shove me in to the high earners tax. Would starting my own business up get me round this. Any other suggestions would be grateful?
