Somehow I have lost my desktop shortcut icon for HP Director (for scanning) How can I restore it, as I have to trawl through programmes to find it all the time. I have tried right clicking the mouse but nothing happens.

from your program list, find HP Director, mouse over and right click, the menu should contain "send to" then send to dektop as shortcut. alternativly,find the exe file for HP Director in program files and do the same....
