lost images on photobase 4

Hi,

All my digital photos were available for me to view in my albums in photobase 4 absolutely fine for ages.

now though they are just thumbnails and although it says they are jpegs, i am unable to copy and paste, to enlarge or view them full size anywhere at all not even in photobase. i have search my computer fo rthe source files but it pull up nothing.

the images are still in my documents but only thumbnails

there is a red X in small box above the thumbnail - what does this mean?

anyone know where my photos have gone and why they are there, but not properly?

....Search the computer for "".jpg if they are there it will come up with them..........easy to be wise after the event but PCs are notoriously "fragile" and not to be trusted with important files. Always back up to CD or DVDas frequently as possible.....commoner.

i use adobe photoshop album 2 for my pictures and from time to time it has to "reconnect the files". the pictures are still there. i back up my photos to 2 dvds on the same day every few weeks because i would be devastated if i lost 6983 photos (which is what i have stored).
