If you get those three features then you really don't need all the other "Bells and Whistles"
Sorry to say the Vivitar from Argos at 349 is not one to go for if you want any sort of quality ........it is 3megapixel....has NO zoom apart from the digital zoom which is NO ZOOM at all.
..a better choice at Argos would be the
Vivitar V5385 5MP Digital Camera....at 99 pounds odd..........though you might even get that for less at other stores. It is 5Mp..has optical zoom and uses cards up to 512 Mbs...........that would have cost 700 quid a couple of years ago........things change fast in the technology stakes......commoner <G>
i worked for jessops until a few months ago. the used cameras have 12 months warranty and that can be extended with a accidental damage cover. i recently saw a nikon coolpix 2100 for just 27 in my local jessops. It is only 2 million pixels but good enough for...maybe 5x7 prints. the lens is good quality and the exposure accurate. you are best to go with used quality brands or spend at least 80 + on a basic one from a good brand....and for goodness sake don't just go for big numbers!
When i sold them i used to compare digital cameras with tvs. they all had the same number of lines (625) making the picture but there is a huge difference in quality.
remember, 2 years ago people were wetting themselves over 3 and 4 million pixels.
