NTL Netguard...

...I currently use AVG Anti Virus free edition, but it seems to be slowing down the speed on my PC. I've been informed by NTL, that we can dowload NTL Netguard for free. I've looked on the net, but can't seem to find it anywhere to download it from.

Any other helpful sugg's please?

BTW, if you're going to use Netguard (or any other AV software) don't forget to uninstall AVG first - PC's don't like having more than one AV program running

Hi stoo_pid, I mentioned on another thread that I was un-installing AVG, then installing Netguard, which I've now done.

However, after installing Netguard, I still had exactly the same problems - slow & not instantly sending emails.

So, I've just un-installed that now & am going to see how it goes for the next 24 hours & will decide which software to use - unles of course you can recommend another problem free one!! Ta!

Even after un-installing the anti-virus software on my pc, it still takes ages after pressing submit on AB!

Just switched on my PC & it appears to be working much quicker today, so fingers & toes crossed!

The only other thing I can think of at the moment is that it might be adware / spyware that's slowing your PC down. If you haven't already got spyware-removal software installed there are a few good free ones out there. I think Ad-Aware is one of the more popular ones. You can download it for free here
