problems with tv

i have put this question on the other board but this seems a bit more active. I borrowed my daughters scart lead from her tv and dvd player till i got myself one and after i put it back she cannot get a good picture at all, its hardly worth watching. can anyone tell me what iv done wrong Thanks

Umm. It really depends on which picture u mean . from outside broadcasts (tv aerial) or from the dvd to the tv.


also is it a new tv. make sure the scart leads are in the right sockets (most tv's have more than 1) and check the back of the telly 4 any switches or buttons. mine has a couple that if, pressed gives me a lousy picture from a AV channel. are u on the AV channel.


if it's the aerial, then undo the plug on the cable and check all connections.


Could be bent pins in the Scart lead, or the pins pushed back so that they don't contact.

Thanks i will check the back, i know the tv only has 1 scart point also the dvd. so i will look at the ariel lead. thanks for your help.

I'm sure U no but the tv aerial has nothin 2 do with the dvd picture & vice versa . bad dvd playback: it can only be scart sockets or lead.
