Out of date cartridges

I have some ink cartridges which are past their recommended "Install by" date.

Personally, I wouldn't think this would affect it a great deal but can anyone confirm this would cause any probs? I would imagine that - if anything - the colour may be affected, but I'm only printing text anyway!

Printer inks never used to have a best before date as far as I can remember.. !!!

I've seen them "dry out ". but give it a try, the worst that could happen is it wont work. it wont harm your printer at all.
I have an old HP Deskjet (still going strong) and I always use cheap out of date colour ink cartridges, I can buy them on ebay for about 2 each and I haven't had a dud one yet. The oldest I have used was use by 1998 and it worked fine.
