could you tell me if gcon45 are compatable with ps2? I have just bought one and it just will not fire at the screen, could this be a tv problem?

Yes the gcon45 should work with the PS2 (I have one). But they only work with TV's running at 50-60Hz if you have a 100Hz TV then it won't work.

Try it on another TV if possible to rule out the possibility it's that.
