Universal Remote Control help

Hi i read a thread on here earlier regarding this. my tv is a de-graff and its near enough impossible to get a code for. How does the auto search thing work? the remote is a URC-22 and whenever i read the instructions an try to do it, its jus keeps flashin the LED and not doing anythin!!!! help anybody??????

I�ve only had one of those universal remotes before, what I had to do was set it to scan and hold the standby/off button until the telly switched off then take your finger off quickly - if the LED is flashing on the remote it�s scanning, it does take a while to scan all the frequencies though so get yourself sat down in front of the telly with a drink!

Cheers for that!! worked very well, im extremely pleased now. If anyone would like to know the code for a de-graff tv (if anybody apart from me owns one) then it is 162, i know this now because once you tune your remote in theres a way to find out the code its tuned in to.
