Why is it all the downloads I want require you to be resident in USA e.g. passalong etc and is there any (legal ) way round this (that doesn't need technical knowledge!) ?

you can use iTunes American version by buying a gift card of ebay (the sender only needs to let you have the access code so no postage involved). You need a USA address to register though.It's iTunes own fault that buyers have to be devious as they seem to have a "you can look but you can't touch" policy to their American store
