OMG - oh my God!
ROFL - rolling on floor laughing (funnier than LOL)
ROFLMAO - rolling on floor laughing my A(part of anatomy) off (even funnier)
ROFLMFAO - rolling on floor laughing my F (act of procreation) A(anatomy - above) Off
AFAIK - as far as I know
AFAIC - as far as I [am] concerned
WTF - what the F (act of precreation).

There are others, but these ones I find to be the most common.

Please, Emma...please!...never, ever use LOL or any of the other such 'L' abbreviations. They are invariably untrue. Someone may conceivably have laughed out loud when they first saw the funny item, but they are never, ever, laughing out (loud or otherwise) by the time they get to the point of writing it down.)

my ex sent a reply to a text i'ld sent and put LOL on i thought it ment LOTS OF LOVE and nearly died we've been seperated for years I was so worried i told my son who indeed lol and then explaned it to me.

LOL sometimes means "Lots Of Laughs", although it's commonly "Laughing Out Loud"
