The Help and Support service can safely be disabled if you don't use Help and Support... To get it started again go to Start, Settings, Control Panel (Switch to Classic View), Administrative Tools, Services. Locate the 'Help and Support' service, right click it and select properties. Change 'Startup Type' to Automatic, click Start then click OK.

Hi Obonio, Thanks for your help, and I 'm glad to say I have sorted it out, how I got over it was I couldn't get to restore as thats tied up with Help & Support as you know so I took a chance and typed in Restore in 'RUN' in the start menu and up it came so I restored it back to before I started " fiddleing" with it now it's back ok. I'll call on you next time I get in trouble thanks mate.
