A friend of mine wants to know how to send an email with a picture in the background, like a watermark.

He's been struggling with the problem for ages and I can't help him out. I use an old W98 computer for the Internet, but I can get a watermarked document on my laptop, which is XP Home - but not connected to the Internet at the moment.

Thanks...

I'm not sure the answer given was what you wanted - it sounds to me as if you wanted to create a background rather than have a picture as part of the mail.

Firstly, choose your picture. From experience, I would suggest "lightening" it using whatever software you have or can find, so that it is like a ghost image. Unless you do this, text in the mail will be very hard to read. Once done, save the picture. Then click on create new, and just follow the wizard, using your saved picture.

then open outlook express, select tools, then options, then compose.

my cursor slipped!! - read the bottom bit AFTER you have created the picture, but before you read the rest of the paragraph

My mate says he is on XP Professional and doesn't have Outlook Express on his system. Can he download it free? If so, where from please?
