Hiii.. Had NTL probs a few nights ago and was offline for most of the night, turned pc on the next day and everything was fine, turned laptop on and wireless connection seems to have messed up due to the Ntl probs... I'm using Belkin wireless adapters on PC and laptop to connect, seems the PC is connecting to Wireless Network Connection 5 while the laptop is connecting to Wireless Network Connection 7.. not sure how I managed to set up 7 but anyway.. I think they both connected to Connection 2 before.. So do I need the list of connections and need to remove the other ones or something...? oh and the laptop does say it's connected but it's obviously not as I can't browse the net..

Any help appreciated thanks!

If you right click the icon in your taskbar, select 'view available connections'

you should get a list. Choose the right connection and check 'connect'.

Good luck.

Hi Ethel, yeah there's only one connection coming up in the available list.. which is why I don't get the whole connection number 7 thing.. Going by the Belkin Wireless Monitor they're using different profiles, yet in the profile list there only is one.. 'Current Profile String' on the PC is 'wireless' while the laptop says a different one and has a question mark beside it... So I guess I need them using the same profile? Which I've no idea how to do... Took me a week to set this wireless thing up, really hope i'm not gonna have to do it all again... argh!

So everything looks right.. and looks connected.. but it's not :S
Sorry - I do hope you get it sorted sparks.

I do know that my laptop does that if my desktop is connected to the internet - I can only go on line on the laptop if I switch the desktop, modem and router off, then swich the moden router and laptop on!
